Proyecto: Brigada animal

Una de las iniciativas que está impulsando el Grupo VíasChile es Brigada Animal, un proyecto que busca rescatar a los perros abandonados en las autopistas y entregarles un refugio hasta que puedan encontrar una familia definitiva.
Hace ocho años que esta iniciativa se está desarrollando en conjunto con la corporación Mirada Animal, una organización sin fines de lucro fundada el año 2014, que busca rescatar, rehabilitar y dar en adopción perros en situación de calle y abandono. En su refugio, ubicado en la comuna de Padre Hurtado, alberga alrededor de 130 perros de manera permanente.
Motivados por el acuerdo de recuperar a los animales abandonados en las autopistas, evitar que sean atropellados y que provoquen accidentes (de acuerdo a cifras de CONASET y Carabineros de Chile, 422 accidentes de tránsito fueron provocados por animales en la ruta) han logrado rehabilitar, rescatar y reubicar a decenas de animales.
